Keys to the Game
-Put the Ball in Shady’s Hands: Andy and Marty put it in RB Lesean McCoy’s hand last week and we saw the production. If the offense didn’t get down early McCoy could of ran for over 200yds and they are going to need a similar game plan this week. This offensive line is horrendous in pass protection. QB Michael Vick can’t be the focal point and drop back 50 times behind this line where he is known to turn the ball over. Give it to your playmaker’s hands and let him take over the game. You run the ball it opens things up in the play action and keeps the Cowboys on their toes.
-Defense Buy into Todd Bowles Scheme: The last two weeks the defense has been getting exposed and I feel the reason behind it is adjusting to new defensive coordinator’s Todd Bowles aggressive blitz happy scheme. We saw last season how long it took this unit to build chemistry with one another and learn Juan Castillo’s game plan and it is the same thing this time around. It is going to take time for these guys to adjust and after the past two weeks of poor performances let’s see how this defense turns the ship around and buy into Bowles defense and come out productive.
-Winning the Battle in the Trenches: Eagles oline is depleted with injuries and they have a tough task trying to control pass rusher Demarcus Ware who knows how to cause havoc for quarterbacks. This is a defense that knows how to get after the quarterback and will try and force QB Michael Vick to turn the football over like has done most of the season.
-Red zone efficiency: Last week 0/5 inside the 20. Only 6 points and pick six. Not going to win football games with those stats. The Eagles need to execute and punch it in for six!
Prediction: Cowboys Beat Eagles 24-14…. The Eagles can’t protect QB Michael Vick and it isn’t like WR Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are getting any separation for him to deliver the football anyway. RB Lesean McCoy doesn’t get the ball in crucial times and the defense is in shambles. As bad as Tony Romo has been this season hanging onto the footbal, he has shown some killer instinct and brought his Cowboys back a few times this season. The Eagles scoring struggles will haunt them once again and feel the defense will have troubles again stopping the Cowboys which will lead to their doom.
