It's time again for the Fox 1470 Sports Radio & WAEB AM 790 Karaoke Contest at the Great Allentown Fair!
WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS YEAR'S KARAOKE CONTEST!
(Contest is Limited to the first 15 entries; open to all persons ages 15 years and older! Solo performers only!)

Time:Preliminary Sing Off- 2pm; Final Sing Off 4pm

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will each win a pair of Powers Great American Midway RIDE wrist bands AND a pair of tickets to check out the J&J Demolition Derby, Mon. Sept. 6th at the Great Allentown Fair! (more prizes coming soon!)

*Applications can also be picked up at the WAEB/FOX Studio in Whitehall (between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday) as well as the Allentown Fair Box Office.

Or you can drop off your application at the WAEB/FOX 1470 Studios in Whitehall, between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
1. Employees and family members of Clear Channel Radio, other Lehigh Valley Radio stations, the Allentown Fair and those affiliated with the Karaoke Sing – Off are not eligible to win.
2. The contest is open to contestants’ ages 15 years and older. Contest will begin at 2pm, final sing off will be at 4pm. You MUST be Pre-Registered to sing at the Karaoke Contest! Contest is limited to the FIRST 15 participants received by Fox 1470/WAEB AM 790!
3. Contest is open to individuals only, and each contestant will be judged on one song during the preliminary rounds. No group performance, back-up singers or dancers are permitted. Only pre-registered contestants may perform.
4. Finalists for the final sing off will be selected from all those singing in the preliminary contest. Those who cannot attend the finals will be disqualified.
5. All judges’ decisions are final.
6. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and are nontransferable.
7. Contestants must choose a song from the pre-selected song list!
8. Duplications of songs will be allowed for the preliminaries, but not for the finals. Numbers will be drawn to determine who picks first, second, etc.
9. Contestants will be judged on a 10 point scoring systems, with 10 being the highest score, in the following areas: Voice quality, Song difficulty, Showmanship / Stage presence, Interpretations. Each contestant will also be given a score based on overall performance with 100% being the highest score. This will be based on an average of all the judges and will be used in the result of a tie.
10. Standard Fox 1470/Newstalk 790 WAEB contest rules apply, and Fox 1470/WAEB reserves the right to change the rules at any given time
11. All contestants will be called by the Fox 1470/WAEB Promotions Department to alert them of their participation in the contest.
